However, if the learner and their sponsor or employer have signed a contract setting out data rights for the sponsor, information can be supplied in accordance with that contract (a copy of the signed contract must be provided with the written request).

If written and/or evidence of contractual consent has been provided, please note NEBOSH will verify the details of the individual and organisation before information is disclosed.

The course fees charged by our Learning Partners may vary depending on a number of factors.

Smaller group sizes, additional one-to-one support and marking and feedback on mock examinations all tend to make course fees higher. However a more expensive course in not necessarily better; colleges are often able to access public funding, which may enable them to subsidise fees for their learners.

When choosing a Learning Partner and comparing prices, you should ensure that you know what is included in their fees and whether there are any other costs or fees to consider. For example; some Learning Partners quote a cost inclusive of the enrolment and registration fees payable to NEBOSH; others require these fees to be paid in addition to the course cost. Some Learning Partners include lunch and refreshments or text books in the cost of their course.

NEBOSH receives regular requests from employers, recruitment agencies, Higher Education institutions, and other similar bodies to verify that an individual actually holds a NEBOSH qualification.

NEBOSH certificates can be verified online using our self-service verifications platform, NEBOSH Verifications. Newer certificate designs also feature a QR code which can be scanned for verification.

You can transfer your enrolment from one NEBOSH Learning Partner to another during your enrolment period. You will need to source a new Learning Partner who will complete an enrolment transfer request form on your behalf.

There is a fee associated with this request, which is detailed on our Learner Fee List. Transfer requests must be received before the final date for enrolment for the relevant examination sitting/assignment submission.

The latest qualifications have been designed to cover what a learner needs to know, so we are moving away from exemptions (common units). So general health and safety content is covered in the National or International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety. Whereas the specialist qualifications (such as Construction and Fire Certificates) contain content that is relevant to the discipline.

However, learners can continue to register to the 2014 specification of the National and International Certificate in Construction Health and Safety until 31 December 2021*. Learners must be registered to the new specification after this date.

Learners can also continue to register to the 2014 specifications of the National and International Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management until 31 December 2021*. Learners must be registered to the new specification after this date.

*This date is subject to change following SQA accreditation of the new/revised specifications.

To replace a NEBOSH Unit Certificate or Qualification Parchment, learners must complete a Replacement certificate request form. Learning Partners are also able to submit this form on their Learner's behalf.

A learners overall qualification mark can be calculated once they have achieved the pass criteria in all units of the qualification. The marks of each unit are then added together to calculate the learners overall mark.

Once the overall mark has been calculated the mark will need to be compared to the grade banding of the particular qualification to identify if the learner has achieved a Pass, Credit or Distinction.

The grade bandings can vary depending on the qualification and can be found in the qualification syllabus guide in the qualification section, click here or on the reverse of the learners Unit Results Notification (URN).
