NEBOSH, like organisations around the world, has had to adapt to the challenges and opportunities presented by the COVID-19 pandemic.

We were fortunate to be able to bring forward and expand on our plans for digital assessments. The changes have helped make our qualifications more accessible, and made sure that people can feel safe when organising or attending a NEBOSH assessment.

The first phase of this project was to introduce an open book examination (OBE) for units on some of our certificate level qualifications.

A review of the assessments of other NEBOSH qualifications will follow; any alternatives we introduce will continue to provide the rigour and recognition people expect from a NEBOSH qualification whilst being safer for the learner during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.
