It’s important that your personal details are accurate, so you receive essential communications about your assessments and certificates without delay. If any of your details change, or you notice an error, you can update them quickly using our Change of Details form.
What information does NEBOSH record?
We hold the following details for all learners:
- Name (and order)
- Title
- Date of Birth
- Email Address
- Postal Address
- Contact Number
How can I update my details?
It is the learner’s responsibility to check your details with your Learning Partner at the point of registration. Learners should also review documents such as the Assessment Registration Confirmation (ARC) prior to your examination. It’s important that we have the correct details for you to avoid you missing out on essential communications and updates regarding your examination.
If any errors/changes are required to your details, submit a Change of Details form with required ID as soon as possible. Changes will not be made without this.
Once we receive your completed form and supporting documents, NEBOSH will update your details within 2 working days.
Tips for completing the form:
- Fill in all fields where possible, even if not marked mandatory, to avoid delays.
- You can use one form for multiple changes.
- In Section 2, tick the details you want to update.
- In Section 3, enter the new information.
- Only the NEBOSH learner can complete this form. It cannot be submitted on behalf of a learner.
- Learning Partners should direct learners to this page to request changes.
When would I need to update my details?
Accessing Digital Assessments (Email Address)
If you need to update your email to log in, submit the Change of Details form first, then contact NEBOSH by phone or live chat to mark it as urgent.
Replacement Certificate (Name)
Submit the Change of Details form and wait for confirmation before requesting a replacement certificate.
- If your request is after results are declared, your original certificate may show the old name. You can request a reissue in the corrected name (fee applies).
- If your request is before results are declared, the name amendment will be made and your original certificate will be issued in the corrected name free of charge.
Tip: Submit changes as soon as possible to avoid unnecessary fees. - Single Name/No Surname
We require both a first name and surname in our system. If your name appears duplicated, complete the Change of Details form and we will correct it. - Legal Name Changes (e.g., Marriage, Divorce, Deed Poll)
These requests require supporting evidence showing your previous and current name. Accepted documents include: - Marriage Certificate,
- Birth Certificate,
- Decree Absolute,
- Deed Poll Evidence.
Verification (Email / Date of Birth)
After your details have been updated, please allow 24 hours before using the Online Verification Service.
My details have changed (Name/Email address/Postal Address/Contact Number)
We understand that your details may change over time. It is important that your details are accurate and up to date to ensure all essential communications are made throughout your NEBOSH journey. It is also important that you make your Learning Partner aware of any changes so they can update their own records accordingly.
Photographic Identification
When you submit a Change of Details form, you must provide valid photo ID so NEBOSH can verify your record and process any changes.
Important: ID must be current, in date, and show your full legal name (shortened/preferred names are not accepted). NEBOSH only accepts the following forms of IDs:
- Passport (preferred)
- Driving Licence
If these are not available, we may accept: - PAN Card. (Permanent Account Number issued for tax purposes)
- Aadhar Card/ UID Card (This is an ID scheme set up by the GoI in 2009)
