NEBOSH to showcase the new-look General Certificate and brand new Safety Simplified course at Intersec

Wednesday, 18 December 2019

At Intersec Expo, taking place in Dubai in January, NEBOSH will showcase its exciting new products; the new-look NEBOSH General Certificate and Safety Simplified, an innovative new-to-the-market course.

The NEBOSH General Certificate was updated in September. After consulting thousands of sector experts, the specification has been streamlined and now has a greater focus on risk assessment.

The theme of risk assessment is continued in NEBOSH’s new offering, Safety Simplified. This three-day course uses the latest augmented reality technology to bring safety learning to life and gives learners the practical skills they need to make a contribution to health and safety, whatever their role, whatever their industry, wherever they are in the world.

Launching at Intersec, both Safety Simplified and the NEBOSH General Certificate will be available in Arabic. From January, the General Certificate will also be available to study in a further six languages with Safety Simplified soon to follow; Russian, Mandarin, Turkish, Portuguese, Spanish and French.

NEBOSH Chief Executive Ian Taylor said: “NEBOSH has awarded around 300,000 General Certificates in countries around the world. The NEBOSH International General Certificate is very well respected and widely held in the Middle East. Its worldwide reach is why it was so important that we worked with a variety experts to ensure that it gives learners the right tools to keep people safe and healthy in their workplaces all around the world.

“Safety Simplified is our exciting new offering. In just three days people will gain skills to make a real contribution to health and safety in their organisation. The course is heavily activity focused, and creatively uses augmented reality (AR) to help people visualise what they’re being taught.”

Visitors who take an on-stand photo and publicly share it on Twitter, LinkedIn or Facebook with NEBOSH’s anniversary hashtag - #NEBOSH40 - will be entered into a prize draw. The lucky winner will receive paid-for study for new International General Certificate qualification delivered by one of NEBOSH’s Gold Learning Partners.

Intersec takes place from 19-21 January 2020 at Dubai International Trade and Convention Centre. Register and visit NEBOSH on Stand 7-G29: https://intersec.ae.messefrankfurt.com/dubai/en.html
