NEBOSH shortlisted for International Export of Qualifications Award at the 2026 FAB Awards

Monday, 20 July 2026

NEBOSH has been named as a finalist in the International Export of Qualifications Award category for the 2026 Federation of Awarding Bodies (FAB) Qualifications and Assessment Excellence Awards.

The International Export of Qualifications Award celebrates organisations that have demonstrated excellence in global partnerships, market impact, and the promotion of UK qualifications abroad.

Being shortlisted reflects NEBOSH’s efforts to expand the global delivery and impact of its qualifications. In 2025/26, NEBOSH qualifications were taken by over 65,000 learners across 168 countries, supported by a network of over 400 Learning Partners. International registrations increased by 19%, with particularly strong demand in key markets including India, the UAE, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

This growth reflects NEBOSH’s commitment to ensuring its qualifications remain accessible and relevant worldwide. International versions of its qualifications are aligned with global standards, while its most popular qualification, the NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, can be studied in seven languages.

The organisation's impact extends beyond qualifications through its growing Social Purpose programme, which aims to address the unequal toll of workplace harm. Over the last year, ten of its eighteen social purpose projects have been international in scope, including initiatives supporting women entering health and safety careers in Africa, migrant worker safety in Dubai, inclusive training for deaf learners in Kenya and occupational health projects in India.

Andy Shenstone, NEBOSH CEO, said: “We are delighted to be shortlisted for this award. It reflects the strength of our global Learning Partner network and our shared commitment to making high-quality health, safety and environmental qualifications accessible to learners around the world. We are proud of the positive impact our qualifications and Social Purpose work continue to have internationally.”

Now in its 11th year, the FAB Awards honour excellence across the UK’s awarding and assessment sector. Winners will be announced at a ceremony on 26 November 2026 in Milton Keynes.
