Grant available for NEBOSH Courses for construction-related companies

There may be staff in your workforce looking to expand their knowledge and contribute to the business on other levels.  Reward them by supporting their career development with a Health and Safety qualification and they will reward you - and your business - with newly acquired skills and knowledge.

As an Industry Training Board CITB ConstructionSkills collects levy and offers grants for training to registered employers.   Companies who are registered with the CITB-ConstructionSkills and have met the full criteria of the grant can claim for an A09 – Technical & Professional Attendance grant for approved off-the-job training courses such as the NEBOSH Construction Certificate and NEBOSH National General Certificate.

Teresa Budworth, NEBOSH Chief Executive commented: ”We are delighted that the CITB-ConstructionSkills have recognised these NEBOSH qualifications for potential funding.”

The NEBOSH National Construction Certificate is aimed at Supervisors, Managers and CDM co-ordinators within the construction industry who are required to ensure that activities under their control are undertaken safely. It is likely to prove useful for those concerned with the management of buildings who may need to ensure that contractors are working safely.

Further details of the grant scheme can be found on the CITB-ConstructionSkills website: - www.cskills.org/grant or via your local ConstructionSkills offices.
