NEBOSH Diploma Graduates Celebrate their Success

Over 200 NEBOSH Diploma students came together to celebrate their success at this year’s NEBOSH graduation and awards ceremony; held at the University of Warwick on the 22 June.

The event recognised the achievements of students who have recently passed either the NEBOSH Environmental Diploma or the National or International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.

UK based students were joined by Diploma Holders from Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Libya, Pakistan, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Nigeria, Cameroon, Ghana, Trinidad and Tobago, Spain, Germany, Ireland and the Netherlands. It was a truly international occasion!

NEBOSH Chair Sir Bill Callaghan welcomed those who attended the ceremony; and thanked the graduates’ families and friends who had supported their studies.

Judith Hackitt CBE, Chair of the Health and Safety Executive was the Guest of Honour. She presented awards to this year’s best candidates and personally congratulated each and every graduate. She also told them:
“Your graduation today is an important step on a journey into a very worthwhile career where you can make a difference. I want you all to take pride in becoming part of a community who have an important role to play in saving lives and preventing harm.”

NEBOSH Chief Executive, Teresa Budworth commented:

“A great deal of hard work and dedication are required to achieve a NEBOSH diploma level qualification. The NEBOSH graduation ceremony gives our students the opportunity to mark their achievement and celebrate their success.”
