Appointments to NEBOSH Board of Trustees

NEBOSH has  announced two appointments to its Board of Trustees.

Bryan McCracken, is a former Health and Safety Executive (HSE) inspector who went on to serve in further education as a health and safety tutor for over ten years. Bryan has held the post of NEBOSH Trustee before, from 2008 to 2011. He stood down two years ago to dedicate his time to setting up health and safety training company BMC Safety Ltd, where he is a director.

“Bryan’s combined experience of health and safety enforcement, education and the delivery of commercial courses will certainly be of great value to the NEBOSH Board,” said NEBOSH Chairman, Sir Bill Callaghan. “We welcome him back".

Ian Coombes has been reappointed to the Board of Trustees. Ian was one of the first NEBOSH examiners and has previously served as a Trustee. He is Managing Director of training and consultancy providers ACT Associates.

Gill Tweedale-Sexton, a partner at Global Safety Training & Consultancy, has retired from the NEBOSH Board after serving a maximum six year term.

Sir Bill commented: “We’re delighted to be holding on to Ian as a Trustee. At the same time we’re sad that Gill’s term on the Board has come to an end. She has made a terrific contribution, both as part of the Qualifications Technical Council (QTC) and the NEBOSH Strategy Committee."
