NEBOSH announces two new board appointments

Andrew Cort and David Lewis have been apppointed as independent trustees and will bring valuable knowledge and experience to the organisation. 

David Lewis is a partner at leading law firm Weightmans, where he specialises in regulatory enforcement action, most notably in the field of health and safety. David is also active in higher education, as a core tutor on Nottingham Law School's MBA in Legal Practice.

As Managing Director of FMC Technologies, Andrew Cort serves on the board of the company as HSE Director, and has been actively involved in the leadership and development of health, safety and environmental (HSE) culture at FMC for more than 10 years.

Andrew commented: "I have a strong interest in the promotion, application and development of HSE. I'm therefore looking forward to working with NEBOSH and my fellow trustees."  

David Lewis added: "NEBOSH is held in the highest regard throughout the health and safety industry. The standards it sets are something that people aspire to, so I'm proud to be playing my part.

"The role of trustee requires a degree of independence, integrity and objectivity. I hope to bring this, along with an eye for detail that is often required of me professionally."

NEBOSH Chief Executive, Teresa Budworth said she was delighted by the appointments. "David and Andrew each have successful track-records in their respective fields. Their know-how and skills will prove valuable as NEBOSH continues to move forward in the years ahead."
