NEBOSH SEEKS NEW PANEL CHAIR FOR ENVIRONMENTAL AND SPECIALIST QUALIFICATIONS

The standards of all NEBOSH qualifications are supervised by a Panel.  The main responsibility of the Panel is to supervise setting the pass mark for each of our assessments to ensure a consistent standard is maintained.  They ensure that assessment of NEBOSH qualifications follows best practice and is in accordance with internal procedures. They also advise on syllabus content, assessment design and accreditation standards.

The two existing Panels, for Certificate and Diploma level qualifications, operate a two part agenda, part one addressing the awarding procedures and part two the monitoring and review of qualifications.

Due to the growth in the number of NEBOSH qualifications available a new Panel has come into operation, the ‘Environmental and Specialist Qualifications Panel’, to meet four times a year, to cover the Environmental Diploma, the Environmental Certificate, International Technical Certificate in Oil and Gas Operational Safety, and the Management of Health and Well-Being qualifications.

NEBOSH is seeking applicants for a Panel Chair for this new Panel and full information on the position is detailed below.  If you would like to apply please send your cv along with a covering letter to Dee Arp, Standards Manager by 18 September 2010.
