Two NEBOSH Qualifications available in Spanish

As part of the on-going expansion of NEBOSH’s international offering, two NEBOSH qualifications will soon be available in Spanish. From January 2014 students will have the option to complete their NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety and NEBOSH Health and Safety at Work qualification studies in Spanish.

NEBOSH Chief Executive Teresa Budworth commented: “We are continuing to see record international demand for our qualifications. In response, we have been steadily expanding the languages NEBOSH qualifications can be taken in. Spanish is a sensible addition to our offering, because it is spoken by nearly 500 million people worldwide and is the primary language in over 20 countries.”

Both of the qualifications allow students to secure sound knowledge and practical skills in occupational safety and health.

The NEBOSH Health and Safety at Work Qualification is an introductory qualification. It covers many areas such as risk assessment and control, work equipment, transport safety, electrical safety, fire safety, manual operations and hazardous substances. It provides a natural progression route to the NEBOSH International General Certificate qualification.

The NEBOSH International General Certificate covers a wide range of workplace hazards and methods of control. It includes international standards for safety and health management including International Labour Organisation (ILO) codes of practice. Importantly, the qualification also features a practical workplace assessment so that students can apply their acquired knowledge in the workplace, adding further value for employers.
