Graduation success for NEBOSH diplomates

NEBOSH Diploma students from across the globe gathered at Warwick University at the end of June to celebrate their successful graduation, after recently passing their NEBOSH National, International or Environmental Diploma.

Diplomates made their way to the ceremony to collect their internationally-recognised qualifications from countries such as Azerbaijan, Kuwait, Mauritius, France, Singapore, Nigeria, United Arab Emirates, as well as all parts of the United Kingdom.

NEBOSH Chair Sir Bill Callaghan welcomed those who attended the ceremony, including families and friends of diplomates. He told them: “We are all part of the same noble endeavour - to prevent harm and to protect people. Your work makes a difference to the lives of those in your workplace, in your communities and in the wider society – so be proud of your achievement.”

Those who gained the highest marks in NEBOSH Certificate and Diploma examinations were also presented with special awards at the graduation event.

Emily Owens achieved the highest mark for the NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety. Her new qualification facilitated her new employment as a Health and Safety Officer. She said, “Collecting my award as a top candidate was a very proud moment. It was particularly special because my new qualification has already accelerated my career forward.”

Kevin Marley, who works for Acacia Facilities Management, achieved the joint highest mark for the NEBOSH International Diploma. He said, “You get a real sense of how much you understand and what you’ve learned when you start to apply everything the NEBOSH Diploma provides you with. The graduation day was excellent and for me personally the award made it the best graduation event I’ve ever been to.”

Courses leading to NEBOSH qualifications are offered by around 500 course providers in more than 100 countries around the world.
