NEBOSH Online Verification

All Certificates and Parchments issued from October 2019 display a QR code in the bottom right-hand corner. You must scan this code using a smart device to confirm authenticity.

When using the QR code to verify a NEBOSH certificate, you will be asked to provide your own details, the verification request cannot be completed without this information.

A verification authorisation request will be sent to the certificate holder for confirmation that the verification request is genuine. The email they receive will contain the option to either ‘Approve’ or ‘Deny’ the request. 

Once the certificate holder ‘Approves’ the request, an email will then be sent to the requesters email address, and this will confirm that the certificate is genuine. 

If the certificate holder 'Denies' this or does not select 'Approve', the verification will be unsuccessful and the person who requested it will be informed that it has either been rejected or the request has expired.

If a verification authorisation request is not responded to, it will expire in two days.  

Please note: If the certificate was issued before February 2007 and does not contain a QR code, you will need to submit the manual verification request form. 

When using the Online Verification Form, you will be asked to provide your own details, the verification request cannot be completed without this information.

You will also be required to enter the certificate holder details:

• Learner Name
  (As seen on the certificate)
• Certificate Master Log Number
  (This can be found on either the front or back of the certificate, depending on issue date)
• Date of achievement
  (This is the issue date printed on the certificate)

If all the details match, a verification authorisation request will be sent to the certificate holder for confirmation that the verification request is genuine. The email they receive will contain the option to either ‘Approve’ or ‘Deny’ the request.

Complete a verification online

If you wish to verify the certificate you received is genuine, simply scan the QR code, enter your own details and continue with the instructions provided on your smart device.

Where you are asked for the Organisation, simply enter: Learner.

You will receive an email to the email address held on our records for you. You will simply approve the request within that email and then receive the verification if applicable.

If you need to update any personal details required to complete a verification, you must complete a change of details request form. NEBOSH will then contact you to confirm the changes have been completed or if we require further information to assist with your request.

Important information

Scanning the QR code on a genuine NEBOSH certificate will take you to:

• https://nebosh-validation.verisecure.org

Approval request emails will be sent from:

• Veri-Secure, noreply@nebosh.org.uk.

Other domains or emails should not be trusted and should be reported to NEBOSH by completing the Report fraudulent certificate/activity to NEBOSH form, which can be found here: Report Fraudulent Activity.

If you wish to verify the certificate you received is genuine using the Online Verification Form, simply enter your details in the first screen.

Where you are asked for the Organisation, simply enter: Learner.

You will now need to complete the certificate details in the second screen:
