Guidance for Employers
By verifying the qualifications of prospective employees, you can help identify and remove fraudulent certificates from circulation and deter candidates from using false information. You will also be confirming that employees hold the qualifications and skills you are asking for.
Recruitment agencies and educational institutions may also be interested in verifying a certificate held by somebody else.

Guidance for Learners
As with many qualifications, NEBOSH certificates are considered valuable and there are professional organisations that will take advantage of this by selling certificates to individuals who have not completed the required training or assessments. But there are steps you can take to keep your information safe and help make it harder for others to create fraudulent documents.
By keeping your information secure and up to date, you can help to protect your qualification from fraudulent activity.
- Do not share scanned copies or photographs of your certificates online.
- If your certificate is lost or stolen, this should be reported to NEBOSH: Report a lost/stolen certificate.
- If you wish to report fraudulent activity to NEBOSH: Report fraudulent certificate/activity to NEBOSH.
