NEBOSH’s multiple choice assessments and multiple format assessments can be completed online, enabling learners in any country to engage in learning and achieve the NEBOSH qualifications assessed in this way.
What are multiple format assessments?
‘Multiple format’ means assessment papers which have questions with pre-populated answers to choose from. Unlike multiple choice assessments, where each question only has one correct answer, multiple format assessments include a blend of different styles, such as multiple choice questions (one correct answer); multiple response questions (more than one correct answer), as well as different question styles (e.g. rank, categorise, fill in the blanks etc).
This affects the following qualifications/units:
- Multiple choice assessments
- NEBOSH HSE Certificate in Process Safety Management, Unit PSM1
- NEBOSH Environmental Awareness at Work Qualification , Unit EAW1
- Multiple format assessments
- NEBOSH National Certificate in Protecting Enhanced Duty Premises and Events from Terrorism, unit PTE1
- NEBOSH National Certificate in Protecting Standard Duty Premises from Terrorism, unit PTS1
- NEBOSH International Certificate in Protecting Premises and Events from Terrorism, unit PTI1
The assessment must be accessed and completed via NEBOSH’s Online Assessment Platform and completed within a 24-hour assessment window. Learners can begin their assessment at any time within the 24-hour window but, once they have started the assessment, they must complete it within the designated time frame for the unit, (30 minutes for EAW1 and PTS1, 60 minutes for PTE1 and PTI1, 90 minutes for PSM1).
These assessments will also be remotely proctored to ensure their integrity. Detailed information about accessing the assessment and the proctoring process is detailed in the Resources section below.
Please make sure you read and understand the Malpractice Policy before completing your NEBOSH assessment – this contains extensive information about the conduct we expect from our learners and Learning Partners, and the disciplinary sanctions for failing to adhere to them.
