The NEBOSH Diploma in Environmental Management is designed for individuals with responsibilities for the management of environmental risk in relation to the damage caused by work activities. It will be invaluable for those aiming to develop and implement effective environmental management systems within their organisations. Since its launch in 1992, over 2,400 candidates have achieved the Environmental Diploma.
What kind of people take the NEBOSH Diploma in Environmental Management?
This Environmental Diploma is intended for safety professionals and managers who are taking on environmental responsibilities. A background knowledge of health and safety is recommended.
Is this qualification recognised?
Holders of this qualification may use the designatory letters EnvDipNEBOSH after their name.
The NEBOSH National Diploma in Environmental Management meets the requirements for non-chartered Member (MCIWEM) of the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM) for holders achieving the overall qualification from 1 February 2009.
In addition holders of the Environmental Diploma are eligible for Specialist Membership (SIIRSM) of International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM).
IOSH CPD Participants may allocate CPD credits for attendance at this course.
The Environmental Diploma provides a sound basis for progression to MSc level: A number of UK universities offer MSc programs that accept the NEBOSH Diploma in Environmental Management as a full or partial entry requirement.
The NEBOSH National Diploma in Environmental Management has been accredited and credit rated by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA). It sits in the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) at SCQF Level 10 with 19 SCQF credit points.
