Applications open for 2026 Michael Adamson NEBOSH Diploma Scholarships

Applications are now open for the 2026 Michael Adamson NEBOSH Diploma Scholarships, supporting aspiring health and safety professionals to develop the skills and knowledge needed to make workplaces safer worldwide.
The scholarships offer fully funded online study for the NEBOSH Level 6 National or International Diploma for Occupational Health and Safety Management Professionals. Twenty scholarships are available, awarded to both UK‑based and international learners.
The scholarships are named in memory of Michael Adamson, who lost his life in a preventable workplace incident. They reflect NEBOSH’s ongoing commitment to improving workplace health, safety and wellbeing by widening access to professional education.
Louise Adamson, Michael’s sister, NEBOSH Ambassador and a member of the scholarship selection panel, said: "I'm eternally grateful to NEBOSH for continuing to honour my brother's memory in this way. Those who gain the scholarships go on to create wonderfully positive new chapters in his story, which means the world to us, his loved ones. The application numbers are always overwhelming, and I look forward to reading through many hundreds which will be filled with passion and purpose."
Winifred Ayelsum, a 2023 scholarship recipient, has since completed the qualification and secured her first dedicated health and safety role. Winifred now works as a Health and Safety Officer in Ghana’s mining sector, using her Diploma learning to help ensure people return home safely at the end of every working day. She said: “Since being awarded the scholarship, my career visibility and opportunities in health and safety have grown significantly...Passing the NEBOSH Level 6 International Diploma has reinforced my potential and confidence in the field. It confirmed that the investment of effort, time, and learning was worth it, and it has motivated me to continue growing, contributing, and making a meaningful impact in health and safety management."
Applications for the 2026 Michael Adamson NEBOSH Diploma Scholarships are open from 28 May until 12 June 2026 and must be submitted via the application form on the NEBOSH website.
