Abu Dhabi OSH framework recognises NEBOSH qualifications
Thursday, 23 July 2026
Occupational health and safety (OSH) professionals working in Abu Dhabi can now use NEBOSH qualifications to meet the qualification requirements within a new professional registration framework launched by the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC).
The Qudorat Occupational Safety and Health Competency Framework aims to ensure OSH professionals operating in Abu Dhabi meet recognised professional requirements, supporting improved workplace safety and regulatory compliance.
The framework sets out competency requirements for different practitioner levels and provides a pathway for professionals to register through the TAMM platform, Abu Dhabi Government's unified digital services portal.
ADPHC has confirmed that:
-
The NEBOSH National General Certificate and NEBOSH International General Certificate align with the Level 4 qualification requirement for registration as a General Practitioner.
-
The NEBOSH National Diploma and NEBOSH International Diploma align with the Level 7 qualification requirement for registration as a Senior Practitioner.
Please refer to ADPHC guidance for full details of the competency, experience and registration requirements for each registration category. Further information about the Qudorat Occupational Safety and Health Competency Framework is available on the
ADPHC website.
Please note: While these qualifications meet the Level 4 and Level 7 qualification requirements within the Qudorat Framework, they retain their existing accreditation and credit rating levels as published on the associated NEBOSH website qualification pages.
